What this ingredient generally does

An organic UV filter that absorbs ultraviolet light, one of the main sunscreen actives here. It also acts as a light stabilizer, helping the formula hold up under sun exposure, and conditions hair. On labels it also appears as Bemotrizinol or the trade name Tinosorb S.
